Job Responsibility Sushi Cook:

About The Role:

Have experience in preparing sushi and sashimi dishes, demonstrate excellent knife skills, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. The Sushi Cook will be responsible for creating a variety of sushi dishes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall dining experience.

Core Work Activities:

• Prepare various types of sushi, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

• Select, cut, and prepare raw fish and other ingredients according to recipes and established standards.

• Inspect the quality and freshness of ingredients and prepared dishes and follow all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive dining experience.

• Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper cleaning and maintenance.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as Sushi Cook or a related role, with at least 1 year of experience.

• Proficient in English language, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in sushi preparation techniques and knife skills.

• Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi styles.

• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to collaborate with the team in a fast-paced work environment
